Dr. Stephan Fuchs

Trained at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg and the University of Kansas in Geography, History, and American Studies, my research interests broadly cover cultural-geographic and historical topics with a specific focus on socio-demographic and cultural patterns and their traces in landscape and society. I combine qualitative (interviews, participant observation etc.) and quantitative (Geographic Information Systems, statistics etc.) research methods and include archival and field work in my studies. My regional focus is on Central/Western Europe and North America.

As a professional researcher I adhere to the academic standards of fairness, transparency, and confidentiality.
